Jatin Narang

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

The person who watched a broken IT model fail accounting firms from the inside at Microsoft, and then built a different one.

Jatin Narang is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Verito Technologies, a cloud hosting and managed IT company built exclusively for tax and accounting firms. He leads product, operations, and technology strategy for a company serving hundreds of practices nationwide, from solo practitioners to multi-partner firms.

With 10 years in accounting technology, Jatin has worked directly with firm owners on infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, and IT security compliance. A Forbes Technology Council member, he has presented at Thomson Reuters Synergy and delivered webinars for NATP, NAEA, and NSA. He is the co-author of Beyond Best Practices: Modernizing the Successful Accounting Firm.

Why He Built Verito

Jatin has spent 10 years working directly with accounting firm owners on infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, and IT security compliance. It started during his time in Microsoft's technical support and call center operations, which gave him an unusually clear view of where IT service delivery breaks down for accounting firms.

The problems were not random. They were structural. General-purpose IT providers are built to serve every kind of business, which means they are optimized for none of them. Their technicians are trained on broad system administration. Their support queues are sized for average demand across all their clients, not for the reality that every accounting firm's IT needs spike at the same time every year, during the weeks when downtime is most expensive and least tolerable.

When Jatin left that world and started Verito, he made two structural commitments that separated it from every competitor in the market. First: deliberate overstaffing of technical support so that accounting firms reach a real technician in under five minutes, not the next available slot. Second: every technician trained specifically on accounting software, IRS compliance requirements, and the actual workflows of a tax and accounting practice before they take a single client call.

Those commitments are expensive to maintain. They are also the reason Verito has a 98-plus percent client satisfaction rate and has not gone down once since 2016.

Credentials

Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)

A vendor-recognized certification in system engineering and infrastructure. When Jatin makes decisions about server architecture, security configuration, and how Verito's private dedicated infrastructure is built and maintained, that judgment is grounded in a verified, standardized technical foundation.

Forbes Technology Council (Member since April 2023)

An invitation-only community for world-class CIOs, CTOs, and technology executives. Jatin's application was vetted by a review committee based on the depth and diversity of his experience and his track record of business impact.

How He Thinks About Technology for Accounting Firms

Accounting firms shouldn't need three vendors to handle their technology. VeritComplete gives you private cloud hosting optimized for accounting software, 24/7 security operations center monitoring for threats, and comprehensive IT support covering everything from software troubleshooting to printer issues. It's simpler, faster, and costs about 20% less than buying everything separately.

The fragmentation problem he is describing is the one most accounting firms are living with right now: one vendor for hosting, another for security monitoring, another for general IT support, and none of them trained on accounting workflows or aware of what the others are doing. The result is coordination delays when something goes wrong, gaps in coverage between vendors, and firm partners spending time managing IT relationships instead of managing client work.

Jatin built Verito's service model to eliminate that problem at the structural level. One team. One contract. Private dedicated infrastructure plus security operations center monitoring plus IT support, all from people who understand accounting software and IRS compliance requirements because that is the only industry they serve.

The compliance piece is not an add-on. A firm on Verito's dedicated private servers meets IRS Publication 4557 and FTC Safeguards Rule requirements by default, because the infrastructure is designed around those standards. That removes an entire category of risk that most accounting firms are quietly carrying and hoping they never have to answer for.

Background

Jatin studied Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) at Kurukshetra University before building a career across cloud hosting, call center operations, venture funding, and online marketing. Before founding Verito, he served as Director of Business Development at VentureFund. His time in Microsoft's technical support operations gave him the founding insight for Verito's model.

Outside of Verito, Jatin mentors early-stage digital businesses through startup communities in both Orlando and New Delhi.

Beyond Best Practices: Modernizing the Successful Accounting Firm

By Jatin Narang & Camren Majors

The book addresses the specific IT decisions that accounting firm owners face when they outgrow generic technology advice and need a framework for building infrastructure that holds up under the pressure of tax season, satisfies IRS and FTC compliance requirements, and scales with the firm rather than constraining it. It draws directly from Jatin's decade of working inside accounting firms' technology problems, translating what he has seen across 1,000-plus client engagements into practical guidance for firm owners who want to make better decisions about their technology without needing to become IT experts themselves.
