Solo Tax Practice
"I was with some place else... It was a hodgepodge of things."
— June Lincoln
June Lincoln left a chaotic multi-location tax firm with a "hodgepodge" IT setup that wasn't secure. Going solo five years ago, she needed autonomy to run her practice efficiently and effectively. But as a self-described non-tech person, she needed infrastructure that just worked without requiring IT expertise. Drake's basic portal system wasn't cutting it. She also needed flexibility: her husband helps verify returns during tax season, requiring temporary user access, and she travels extensively with her daughter's national softball team, needing to work from anywhere.
"I think I did the trial period and liked that and then just went full board."
— June Lincoln
Verito gave June complete autonomy with professional infrastructure she doesn't manage. The setup was easy enough that she barely remembers it, seasonal user access is simple to add and remove, and she can work from anywhere during her frequent travel (including two months over summer). When technical issues arise, like a signature pad breaking after an OS update, support handles fixes she could never do herself. After five years of thriving solo practice built entirely through word-of-mouth referrals, she has the security and flexibility she needs without IT headaches.
"Over the summer, I was gone for two months. Having the ability to pick up my computer and work anywhere was a big help."
