"Drake doesn't do a good job of letting us collaborate... whoever opened that client first, that was their client forever."
— Erin Meise
Erin Meise ran her tax practice solo for years without issues. When she brought on a partner in Alabama, Drake Tax's limitations became critical: whoever opened a client file "owned" it forever. They couldn't collaborate, couldn't cross-check each other's work, and couldn't do team reviews without scheduling simultaneous phone calls to share screens. As the firm owner, Erin had zero visibility into her partner's workload or progress. It took an entire tax season to even identify the problem, and once recognized, they knew they couldn't continue operating that way.
"It was pretty quick. I think it took like 45 minutes."
— Erin Meise
Verito restored full collaboration for the remote team. Both partners now access the same Drake environment seamlessly, can review each other's work without screen-sharing calls, and maintain proper workflow oversight. Setup took about 45 minutes with simple guidance. No technical expertise required. After two full tax seasons on Verito, support consistently answers within a minute and resolves issues quickly, even integrating smoothly with TaxDome. The system enabled true remote partnership that was impossible before.
"They answer within a minute, which is fantastic."
